The Roland L. Meyer Orpheus Club Scholarship
The Orpheus Club scholarship program honors and assists a graduating high school senior who has demonstrated extraordinary accomplishment in music and who intends to continue musical studies on the collegiate level.
The $2,000 scholarship is named after Roland L. Meyer, a former president of the Orpheus Club who bequeathed funds for the program. It has been awarded in its current form since 1993. Meyer passed away in 2000, and beginning with the April 2001 award the program was renamed in his honor.
The Orpheus Club also administers the Harriet & Edward Levy Memorial Scholarship Award, a $1,000 award funded by our pianist, Ron Levy, in memory of his parents. Students do not apply separately, but rather are considered from the pool of applicants for the Meyer Scholarship.
