Lily Kearney, Alto Saxophone & Vocalist, Clifton HS,
Awarded 2024 Levy Scholarship
Lily Kearney is a multi-faceted and exceptional musical talent who sings in the choir and plays alto saxophone. She has participated in a wide range of Clifton HS music organizations, including Marching Band, Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, and Jazz Band where, in many cases, she also plays flute, oboe, or alto horn. Lily has also performed with community musical organizations, including The Clifton Community Band and One More Once Big Band.
The Clifton HS Musical Director praises Lily as both a leader and a team player who sees the value in building up others and sees leadership as an act of service. Accdemically, Lily has been inducted into the National Honor Society, the English Honor Society, and the Science Honor Society.
Lily has also cultivated her love of the Japanese culture and its music. Through self-study she has achieved the STAMP 4S Seal of Biliteracy in Japanese. One of Lily’s ongoing passions is to bring the Japanese culture closer to the hearts of others through her music.
