Isabella Yung, Violinist, Leonia HS,
​Awarded 2024 Roland L. Meyer Scholarship​

As early as the third grade, Isabella was recognized as an extraordinary musical talent possessing a boundless drive to improve along with a generous spirit to share her talents with her fellow classmates.  Isabella’s talents and work ethic have earned her appointments to several NJ regional and state orchestras and, since Freshman year, she has held leadership positions in the Leonia HS Orchestra.  Most remarkable have been Isabella’s accomplishments in three international competitions in New York City, winning First Prize in all three competitions.

Isabella’s interests and excellence extend beyond Music to other areas of academics; she is a member of the Mu Alpha Theta National Math Honor Society and the Science National Honor Society.  As with music, Isabella shares her academic strengths, tutoring her fellow students in several Math and Science courses at Leonia High School.
