The Orpheus Club
The Roland L. Meyer Orpheus Club Scholarship

For the past several years, the Orpheus Club has been proud to sponsor a scholarship program designed to honor and assist a graduating high school student who has demonstrated extraordinary accomplishment in music and who intends to continue musical studies on the collegiate level.

The 2008 Scholarship instructions and application have been sent to local high school guidance offices and band, orchestra, and chorus directors. In addition, you are able to download both the instructions and application from this website.

We are pleased to announce that the winner of the 2007 Scholarship is Thomas Barth from Succasunna, NJ. A senior at Roxbury High School, he has been a member and section leader of the Honors Choir, Men's Choir and jazz and madrigal ensembles. He has been selected three times to the All State Choir. In 2006, he was also selected to the All Eastern Choir and to the New Jersey Governor's School for the Arts. In addition to his extensive choral activities, Tom has played mellophone in the Roxbury Marching Band and the French Horn for the school's concert ensembles. He is a member of the National Honor Society and has attained the rank of Eagle Scout.

We thank all of the individuals and groups who have made donations to this valuable effort. The Club and the student award recipients appreciate your support. We hope to increase the scope of the program in the future and invite your support. Donations of any size are welcomed. Make your check payable to the Orpheus Scholarship Fund, and give it to any singing member or mail it to:
